Description

This listing is for an item(s) that is printed with PLA filament using a 3D printer.  The photos alongside the main photo will show you bisque fired earthenware clay pieces made with the cutters / stamps and also some painted pieces for inspiration.  You will also find extra inspiration in our gallery.

This item is perfect for making your own bisque to sell in your PYOP studio, for use within a pottery studio, or for your own handicrafts…. the only limit is your imagination!

The colour of your cutters and stamps may vary from those shown in the photograph.

After use, rinse in cool water (never use hot water and do not soak) and dry immediately.  Store in a cool, dry place.

Instructions to make a prickly pals creation…

1. Roll out clay to 7mm thick
2. Use the body cutter to cut out the hedgehog’s body from your rolled out clay
3. Tear away any excess clay before removing the cutter
4. Use a needle tool or pointed spatula to tidy up the edges
5. Roll out more clay to approximately 1-2mm thick (or slightly thinner than a pound coin) and start cutting out lots of spikes for the hedgehog. You can dust a little bit of baby powder onto the clay to stop it from sticking to the spike cutter
6. Use the silicone moulds to make any extra details you’d like to add to your hedgehog
7. Score the back of one of the spikes and an area on the hedgehog where you will attach it and paint on a small amount of slip
8. Firm the spike in place, using your finger to slightly indent the rounded edge, leaving the spiked end free to shape and lift as you wish
9. Continue adding spikes and any extra clay details you’ve made in rows starting from the top of the hedgehog, working downwards to the base of the body
10. Don’t forget to score and slip everything you add onto your hedgehog
