Instructions to make a little plate for mini eggs…

  1. Roll out clay to 7mm thick
  2. Dust the mould with talc or cornflour and lay on the table handle side down
  3. Drape the clay over the mould and firm the clay around the mould with your hands. Use a damp sponge to smooth out the shape
  4. Dust the cutter then place over the mould and cut the clay. Leave the cutter in place for now and cut away any excess clay
  5. Flip over the mould and cutter then press then press the cutter up and over
  6. Smooth over the edges with a damp sponge
  7. Give the mould a little twist and lift away from the clay
  8. Neaten up the edges again with a damp sponge if needed
  9. Dust your plate with some talc or cornflour and use the stamp to add the design to the middle of the plate
  10. Stamp in a name too if you wish!
  11. Rub away any marks from the stamps gently with your finger
  12. Place a small board or tile on top of the plate while it dries to prevent any warping
  13. Allow to dry fully before firing
