Angel Kit – 3 Sizes

This listing is for our angel kit which is available in 3 sizes to create a small (15cm tall/6inches), medium (19cm tall/7.5inches) or large (21cm tall/8inches) angel.

Perfect for family christmas workshops or for creating beautiful pieces to sell in your PYOP studio!

Why not add on one of our textured rolling pins to create a pattern for the angel’s dress.

*Top tip* we made our angel hair using a mini clay extruder which we purchased from Amazon!

Angel Worksheet

The small angel set includes;

• 12cm/5inches cone cutter
• 12cm/5inches angel wings stamp and cutter set

The medium angel set includes;

• 15cm/6inches cone cutter
• 16cm/6.3inches angel wings stamp and cutter set

The large angel set includes;

• 18cm/7inches cone cutter
• 19cm/7.5inches angel wings stamp and cutter set

HOW TO MAKE AN ANGEL:

• roll out clay to 7mm thick and stamp in the wing design. remove the stamp and cut out the wing shape
• roll out more clay and texture however you’d like for the angel’s body
• use the cone cutter to cut out the cone shaped body
• score and slip the straight edges then roll your clay into the cone shape so the edges meet
• smooth in a thin sausage of clay over the join of the cone on the inside and outside
• make a ball of clay for the head of the angel and hollow it out
• poke a hole in the top of the cone for air flow
• paint slip inside the hollowed ball and place over the point of the cone. blend in where they meet with some extra clay to secure the back of the neck
•  on the back of the angel, score an area beneath the head and score an area on the front of the wings
• paint on slip then attach the wings just below the head
• blend in the clay to secure the wings
• score and slip on the head for the hair
• make hair however you’d like, we use a mini clay extruder!
• start building up and shaping the hair
• add any extra details like a halo or tiny stars…just remember to score and slip everything you add
• ta-dah, now you have your angel!
