Playful Characters Mould

Description

This listing is for an item(s) that is printed with PLA filament using a 3D printer.  The photos alongside the main photo will show you bisque fired earthenware clay pieces made with the cutters / stamps and also some painted pieces for inspiration.  You will also find extra inspiration in our gallery.

This item is perfect for making your own bisque to sell in your PYOP studio, for use within a pottery studio, or for your own handicrafts…. the only limit is your imagination!

The colour of your cutters and stamps may vary from those shown in the photograph.

After use, rinse in cool water (never use hot water and do not soak) and dry immediately.  Store in a cool, dry place.

Instructions to make a playful character

1. Tip some talc or corn flour into the mould and shake about to cover completely, then tip out any excess
2. Firm clay directly into the mould until flush with the top
3. Take a spare bit of clay, dip it in some water and the press this onto the moulded clay as a sort of handle to help remove the clay from the mould
4. Repeat this process again to make a second side
5. Once you have both sides out of the mould, score and slip the flat sides of both and firm them together
6. Use your finger or a damp paintbrush to tidy up the seam where the 2 sides join
7. Finally, use the handle of a paintbrush to make a hole through the figure from the base, roughly up to the head so that it had an air hole to help with even drying.
